Google is just so darn considerate. They are giving anyone flying Delta, Virgin America and AirTran a Christmas present this holiday season!
That's right, if you fly with one of these guys between November 20 and January 2, you get free in-flight Internet access!
According to the article, "users can access the Internet in-flight via laptop computers and handheld devices such as the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad." Talk about a strategic alliance between Google and these airlines.
So, if you're flying with Delta, Virgin America, or AirTran during the holidays, here is how you get your Christmas present. Go to the airborne.gogoinflight Web site, sign up, then join the gogoinflight wireless network when you board the flight.
Here is another Web site that shows you how to sign up. Now, go enjoy the holidays a little more, thanks to IT at work!
I just love christmas and this makes me want to fly somewhere just to enjoy the free wifi, very clever Delta, AirTran and Virgin america, very clever!
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas, I love Google... I wish I had the financial resources to love traveling!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Nothing like Wi-Fi to make my 17 hour flight to Hong Kong seem shorter.
ReplyDeleteI think this has great potential, but as I become a business traveler it might be nice to NOT have wireless access on board a plane. If I am traveling all of the time then the only break from work I might get from work is on the plane. It might be nice to be able to say, sorry couldn't get it done, no wireless son the plane!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great PR move now, but in the future as IT advances we will start to see more Free Wifi on more planes. Once someone gives it away for a short period another airline might give it away year round to attract more customers to fly with them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dixon....I think in the future we will start to see more Free Wifi on all types of public transportation
